Let’s take a walk through the Forêt de Bon-Secours… and along the canals in the Plaines de l’Escaut nature reserve.
The Escale Forestière (Forest Halt) is the perfect starting point for lots of family walks. In the Forêt de Bon-Secours, you can marvel at these majestic beech and oak trees, plus plenty of other treasures. In Blaton, the Cité des Trois Canaux (city of three canals), you can follow the narrow paths exploring the “crêtes à cayaux” (dry stone walls) and the remains of the region’s boating past. Six different routes, covering a total of 20.9km, showcase the forest landscapes and local architectural heritage and waterways.
